Fast Handicap

The RVYC Fast Handicap fleet offers competitive racing for single and double-handed dinghies with a PY of 1200 or lower. Classes recently represented include ILCA 6 & 7, RS 100, RS400, Laser 2000, Europe, Phantom and Blaze.

There is regular evening and weekend club racing from March to December with courses set in and around Woodside Bay. Additional open events through the season include the Commissioning Cup, Merrydown Regatta and Frostbite series. Launching is easy using the well maintained concrete slipways next to the club dinghy park.

Our Cadet and Adult Sailing activities provide easy introductory pathways for those new to racing and club boats are available for hire.
