MOCRA

It should not be a surprise that the RVYC has the largest fleet of multihulls on the south coast the creek is ideally suited to boats that can comfortably take the mud. Bilge keelers like the Westerly Centaur, lift keels like the Super Seal, and of course catamarans and trimarans are very much at home, and all have the advantage of being able to explore the creeks and inlets within easy cruising reach in the Solent. The advantage of the multihull, is that it can cruise faster, therefore go further, and are also fun to race.

Most of the RVYC members multihulls are also members of MOCRA (Multihull Ocean Cruising and Racing Association) so can be found on their website https://mocra-sailing.org/ and collectively we call ourselves 'VicMoc'.

There are regularly at least 5 multihulls that join in with Club racing, we do get the occasional very welcome visitor (all MOCRA rated multihulls are invited to join in) and the racing is friendly and uncomplicated, each race usually lasting no longer than a couple of hours.
