    RVYC four way Team Racing Report : 22nd June 2021

    It was all decided on the last 2 marks of the last 3rd race, on a windy F4 day, in a choppy sea with a conflicted wave pattern. SVYC's leading boat came and attacked the RVYC dark Green Mermaid (Chris Gear, Harry and Charlie White) and luffed them away from their down wind course towards the wrong side of the mark.     Cadet Week 2021 : registration 25th June

    We are delighted to announce that we will be opening registration for Cadet Week 2021 next Friday 25th June at 1830. Cadet Week is a fantastic chance to spend extra time on the water and to work towards your RYA stages on the Youth Training Scheme.     6th June - IW Youth & Junior Dinghy Championship series

    Four regattas will take place from June to October 2021 across the Island hosted by Royal Victoria Yacht Club, Brading Haven Yacht Club, Gurnard Sailing Club,Yarmouth Sailing Club and Royal Solent Yacht Club under the IW Youth and Junior Championship Series.     F2-F3 southerly (light at windward mark).9 squibs 3 fast handicap 3 slow handicap.Well done to Martin Harrison with 2 firsts in the Squib fleet.Both starts were competitive with the fleet splitting both right and left in the strong tides.     Cadets afloat : 23rd April 2021

    When I came down to the Club last Friday morning and saw the conditions, I never thought we would have such a wonderful first night!! Although still breezy, the sea state had improved and the sun was shining so all cadets made it afloat. Our thanks to the rib team of: John E, Rob and Steve M who, by launching the ribs in the morning, ensured we could sail asap on the rising tide.
