Racing Series and 2026 paperwork
The Club racing series is predominantly run on a Sunday or midweek Thursday dependant on the tides. For start times see the calendar or the club programme. We use the Portsmouth Yardstick system for dinghy classes and the NHC system for cruisers.
All our club races have starts for National Squibs, fast handicap dinghies PY 1200 and below, slow handicap dinghies PY 1201 and above. Each series, except for the Bank Holiday series, will have at least one start for the cruiser classes.
We also encourage novice racers and will set simple courses for any members wishing to start racing. We have a dedicated race platform offshore to the west of Wootton Creek entrance.
A RVYC Race entry form will need To be completed by all competitors before their boat takes part in its first race listed in the 2026 programme.
