Scow Race Training Day 1
Why are we running the race training days?
1.To make friends and really feel part of a community through sailing these wonderful boats.
2.To provide a friendly way of returning to racing if you have "been away for a while".
3.In response to sailors last season who stated they would "appreciate a refresher".
4.To support each sailor individually by discussing what they would like to achieve this year.
5.To laugh, have fun and to make you want to come back and "have another go"
What knowledge and skills will we cover on Day 1?
CLASSROOM/SHORE
1.Simple rigging and boat preparation tips (from DB, the fastest scow sailor in the fleet!)
2.6 basic racing rules to get you started
3.The '5 Essentials' of speed

Why is there a Day 2?
1.To help Day 1 sailors mid-season. A bit more coaching for the second half of the season.
2.To introduce Scow racing to anyone who couldn't make Day 1 or who is arriving into the fleet mid-season.
