    Cadets afloat : 23rd April 2021

    When I came down to the Club last Friday morning and saw the conditions, I never thought we would have such a wonderful first night!! Although still breezy, the sea state had improved and the sun was shining so all cadets made it afloat. Our thanks to the rib team of: John E, Rob and Steve M who, by launching the ribs in the morning, ensured we could sail asap on the rising tide.

    Spring 5 : 18th April 2021

    Any concern about whether or not there would be breeze was quickly dispelled when race team Steve and Luke Sheridan went out to the race box to feel a lovely 5-10 knot Easterly although this did shift between S and E a few times during the racing.     Cadet Powerboat registration is now full .

    Subject to planned relaxing of lockdown we are planning to start the Cadet Powerboat group again in April 2021. As before it will teach novice, or previously experienced Cadets (over 8 and under 18) to drive a club Rib safely and confidently. There will be no RYA competition this year however, we plan to run the local heat giving us all something to aim for. Many of our prior year cadet powerboat group have gone

    Welcome to RVYC Cadets 2021!

    We are delighted to announce that we are back and Cadet Registration is now open ! After the Government's announcement last week, we are confident that we can now proceed with our planned OnBoard cadet programme for this year.     At last, following on from the Prime Minister's announcement of the roadmap to lifting lockdown restrictions, we can start to finalise plans for our 2021 season of on-the-water events.     Update to members in Tier 4

    From 31st December 2020 only recreational boating can take place at the rvyc ; no organised events are permitted. Members can access the dinghy park and pontoon for essential maintenance and to check their boats.
