Annual Prize Giving 2016

The Royal Victoria Yacht Club held its annual prize giving for the 2016 sailing season on Sunday 18 th December 2016. A packed room of Squib, Cruisers , Cadets , Scows and Optimist sailors and their families welcomed Mark Persad, Head of Marketing from Wightlink who awarded the Wightlink series trophies for individual races held at the club during July 2016. RVYC team second in Bembridge Illusion Inter Club Team Racing

Race Report: 27 Nov 2016

Near perfect conditions greeted the healthy fleet of 24 boats that turned out for the fifth race in the series last Sunday, with a NE breeze blowing a steady force 4 all morning. Almost 40 RVYC sailors were fortunate to have a weather window between the first named storm of the season, Angus, and the following low-pressure system, which coincided with the tide and daylight hours, and so Frostbite 4 went ahead at 2pm on Sunday.
