    Cadet Beach Clean & Support of Single Use Plastic Initiative

    On Friday 18 May 2018 at 18:30 , The Royal Victoria Yacht Club announced its intention to work towards becoming a (single use) Plastic Free Club.     Optimist Open Event : 12th & 13th May 2018

    Over 30 young Optimist sailors and their families descended on RVYC last weekend for the only island leg in the 2018 Rooster Optimist Travellers Series. The fleet was split in two – 20 in the regatta fleet for more novice racers, and the main (and highly-competitive) racing fleet of 13 boats.     Squib Gold Cup : May 5 & 6th 2018

    A record 4 boats from the RVYC attended the prestigious Squib Gold Cup event hosted by the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club at Burnham over the early May Bank Holiday weekend- Chris and Ben Gibson in Wizard, Emma Baker and Sam Prime in Buccaneer, Martin Harrison and Tom Archer in Hussar and Stu Rix and Steve Warren-Smith in Aquabat, boosting the fleet to 35.     Commissioning Cup - 25 March 2018

    After cancelling the winter dinghy regatta due to a blizzard, a slight breeze and still waters were a perfect start to the season for the Commissioning Cup race and attracted a good size fleet out of hibernation.     RVYC Cadets to take part in Sports Relief Challenge on 23 March 2018 .

    14 of our younger cadets took part in an exciting fundraiser in support of Sport Relief last Friday at Landrover BAR HQ in Portsmouth .     Cadet Fitting Out Supper 2018

    The Club looked fabulous last Friday for the annual Cadet's Fitting Out Supper hosted by the Cadet Captains Luke Sheridan and Alex Downer . Over 50 cadets, ranging from 8 years to 18, donned their smart clothes for a themed evening based on the Winter Olympics .     Laser Winter Training 2018
