Another cracking day on the water eleven boats made the start line which was to be our last advertised racing day this year. Peter Hayward was our race officer of the day & Howard Knowles rejoined the fold as his assistant, good to see you back Howard.Ten Scoundrels & one guest Jim Holdstock sailing one of Dare's many boats in which he raised a few eyebrows by coming 2nd in race two an impressive maiden

A wonderful regatta weekend - wind from one end of the spectrum to the other. But a great time on the water and a perfect sunny warm Sunday, ending in prize-giving, presided over by Commodore, Chris Rickman, and Rear Commodore Sailing, Jane Barrett Bellingham . Entries are now open for a COVID safe racing format over the weekend of our Club Regatta on 19/20 September 2020. Races planned include : 1 race a day for cruisers 2 races a day for Squibs and dinghies 1 novice race a day Separate course for the Scows So please register your interest in participating; fill out a 2020

The Scowndrels set sail to Ryde Pier and back on a sunny Saturday afternoon for a leisure sail, the downward leg was in a light wind which freshened somewhat on arriving at the old Clubhouse the return journey was in a much stiffer breeze with wind shifts thrown in to make things more interesting, all returned unscathed for a welcoming drink on the lawn. Our annual Creek Race must be the most popular events in our calendar. Wonderful to see so many people at the club both on and off the water, enjoying our facilities and the stunning views.
