    Frostbite Race report : 25th November 2018

RVYC's Frostbite series race officer, Martin Harrison, planned three races last Sunday in the hope of catching up on the events lost of the weather earlier in the series. There was a good turnout in the chilly F5 north-easter blowing straight into the Creek. There were a couple of early casualties in the blustery and lumpy conditions. Chris and Matt Bamber called it a day in only their second outing in their Fireball while

Its been a busy Summer at the RVYC !

Champagne sailing over the weekend of 8/9 th September 2018 bought a very busy summer sailing season to a climax with the Merrydown Regatta 2018. Over 48 boats jostled for positions for coveted trophies with 6 races on the water and shore-side entertainment kept the non-sailors happy. It has been a superb Race sailing calendar this year with very successful turnouts on Thursdays and Sundays for the TST & Wightlink series. The

Congratulations to our newly qualified Dinghy Instructors

Over the Summer, Zoe Irons, Luke Sheridan, Henry Giles, Florrie Webb, Jack Fellows and Ben Arthur all worked incredibly hard to obtain their RYA Dinghy Instructor licences. Creek Race 2018

The Creek Race took place in almost tropical conditions on Sunday ! A very big thank you to Luke Sheridan, Steve Sheridan and Brian Thompson who took out groups of young Cadets so that they could experience racing, most of them for the first time. Much appreciated! It was a tricky race with very strong tides, but the lovely sunny weather meant that it was great fun nonetheless. Brian's boat, crewed
