RVYC to host the first of the IW Youth and Junior Championship Series on 6th June

Four regattas will take place from June to October 2021 across the Island hosted by Royal Victoria Yacht Club, Brading Haven Yacht Club, Gurnard Sailing Club,Yarmouth Sailing Club and Royal Solent Yacht Club under the IW Youth and Junior Championship Series.

What a great opportunity for Youth and Junior sailors to race at different local venues and enjoy a Club style Regatta with a social function after racing. The series is open to those who sail in the RS Tera and Laser fleets .

Numbers will be limited at each regatta and entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Each event will feature a coached regatta fleet and racing fleet in all rigs .

All sailors must be 21 or younger on the 31st of December 2021 and must have a residential Island address .

The IW Youth and Junior Championship series has been set up to give our local sailors across the Island racing opportunities with other clubs and allow them to meet and compete against their peers before potentially venturing out to events on the mainland.

Each host club will use their own safety procedures, however all will follow the RYA's Covid-19 guidance for all dates.

RVYC entries will be open from 1st May 2021.
