Meeting throughout the year on a Friday evening, the winter time is taken up with social activities in the club house. Late March we hold a capsize drill at the Ryde swimming pool on a Saturday evening, with registration and boat checks ready for the sailing season at the end of March.
Our first on water sailing session will be in early April and typically every other Friday dependant on tides until mid September.
On the non sailing nights the groups will meet for short theory sessions.

What will you learn?
As an RYA Training establisment we follow the RYA training sylabus, all our leaders are qualified dinghy instructors.

The qualifications you will be able to gain will be:-
  • Youth Stages 1 to 4
  • Start Racing
  • Day Sailing
  • Seamanship
  • Sailing with Spinnakers
In addition we can also run Powerboat 2 courses for Cadets.

The emphasis on our training is in quality and enjoyment of sailing, we do not operate under timescales to produce your qualification. You can take all year to perfect your sailing before you get your qualification. The majority of our qualifications will be presented at Cadet Week.
